Mehrauli Gurgaon Road (better known as MG Road) in Gurgaon is one of the first hub of commercial and residential activities in Gurgaon. The mall culture in North India (probably Northern India) started here right on MG Road. Thereafter this culture boomed all over India. MG Road became (and is today too) a mecca for residential and commercial complexes.
In a study that was carried out in 2013, around one and half lakh vehicles pass through MG Road every day. The road connects National Highway on one end and Mehrauli border on the other end. (Just for Information, Mehrauli is a locality in the South West of Delhi).and is close to Gurgaon and next to Vasant Kunj). On the National Highway Number 8, you take the IFFCO chowk exit to enter into MG Road. This is usually the way for people coming from old Gurgaon and from West and North Delhi to come to MG Road. South Delhi may use the Mehrauli side of the entry to come to MG Road.
The road is very well connected by Metro and is on the Yellow Line. MG Road is a metro station that lies on the Yellow Line which as of April 2017 starts at HUDA city center and goes all the way to Azad Pur in North Delhi and now beyond too. People travelling my Metro from North, East and South Delhi use this line to travel to Gurgaon. This yellow line is hustling bustling during peak hours as is served by a 8 compartment metro train with a frequency of almost every 2 minutes.
